Be An Ally

This burden of responsibility lies with those who can leverage their privilege to affect change. In other words, white supremacy is a white person’s problem. Allies must labor for black liberation under the guidance of black leadership as it is those voices that are to be centered and amplified throughout this uprising.

Solidarity in Western North Carolina

Antiracism

Author, Historian, and Scholar, Prof. Ibram X. Kendi on the difference between being “not racist” and being actively antiracist

Our movement embraces a diversity of tactics: in the spirit of “from each according to their ability”. Find the channel of anti-oppression that showcases your skills, ignites your passion, and makes your heart beat. There is a path for everyone to engage in the struggle for racial justice; let us know how we can be a part of guiding you to it.

For example, existing community roles within the movement include:

  • BIPOC Leadership
  • Medics
  • Marshals
  • Jail Support
  • Voter Registration
  • Public & Media Relations
  • Fundraising
  • Arts & Culture
  • Family Care
